Bay Springs Lake reservoir is a part of the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway near Belmont Mississippi in Tishomingo County. It was impounded by the Jamie Whitten Lock and Dam. Bay Springs Lake is approximately nine miles long. Bay Springs Lake is the northernmost reservoir along the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway. It is surrounded by recreation areas, providing visitors with great scenery and camping. Located along the Natchez Trace Parkway, this lake also is close to Tishomingo State Park and just 43 miles from Tupelo. Bay Springs Lake is the only deep-water lake on the waterway.
